A celebration of Jane's life (Mamaw) will be held at 12PM Monday, January 27, 2020 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home - Main Street. Visitation will be from 10AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Lexington Cemetery. Jane was born in East Bernstadt in Laurel County, Kentucky in 1931 and lived primarily in Lexington, Ky. Mamaw is survived by her children, Roger, Janice (Rick), Randall (Sarah) and Joy. She was preceded in death by her children, Jeanette and Ricky. She worked for 40 years at Shriners Hospital and took great pleasure in serving wonderful meals to sick children and their families. She was devoted to her children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her greatest desire was to help her children and family get an education. She was an independent person who forged her own path and always saw the possibilities life had to offer. She had a passion for animals both hers and adopted pets and never said no to a four-legged friend in need of a good meal. The family is grateful to Jennifer for the special care she provided over the past year – allowing Jane to live in the comfort of her own home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jane's honor to Lexington Humane Society, 1609 Old Frankfort Pike, Lexington, KY 40504 or a charity of your choice.
