TOMMY KENT BISHOP, a resident of Green Forest, Arkansas was born May 3, 1949 in Berryville, Arkansas a son of Wilburn Carl, Jr. and Mildred Louise (Cox) Bishop. He departed this life Wednesday, December 13, 2000 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 51.


Tommy was a veteran having served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict. He was the owner of Tommy Bishop Consturction Company.


On April 19, 1971 he was united in marriage with Emily Jo (Stoner) Bishop who survives him. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Wade and Michelle Bishop of Memphis, Tennessee; his daughter and son-in-law, Dawnica and Mike Russell of Green Forest; his granddaughter, Brianna Renee Bishop; his mother, Louise Bishop of Green Forest; three brothers, Terry K, and his wife Pat Bishop of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Patrick K. Bishop of Branson, Missouri and Merrill K. and his wife Robbie Bishop of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; two sisters, Carlyn K. and her husband Lindal Loftis of Green Forest, and Rhonda K. and her husband Bob Yarberry of Charleston, Arkansas; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.


He was preceded in death by his father.
