Faints At Stove And Is Burned To Death.
Mrs. J. F. Abel, wife of Prominent Colusa Farmer, Meets Tragic Death Near Williams.
Williams (Colusa Co.) November 11. - Seized by a fainting spell Mrs. J. F. Abel, wife of a well-known Williams farmer and was of the best known women in that part of Colusa County, fell upon the stove on which she working in her house and sustained burns that caused her demise yesterday afternoon. The tragedy occurred on the Williams ranch, three miles southeast of here.

Alone at the Time. About 11 o'clock Mrs. Abel was alone in the house and in working over a stove was seized with a fainting spell; her clothing caught on fire and in an instant she was enveloped in flames. Her screams were heard by her nephew, Norris Eib, who ran to her rescue, but her clothing was entirely burned from her body.

Lives a Few Hours. Physicians were immediately called and all possible was done for her, but she only lived a few hours. Besides her husband, she leaves a mother, two sisters and four brothers. The funeral will be held in Williams Wednesday.
