Margie Douthat Williams was born in Greene County, Tn March 14, 1925 to parents Henry & Dora Gaby

At an early age she accepted Jesus into her heart as her Savior and Lord and the gift of salvation and joined the Mountain Valley Church of the Brethren as was a faithful member for over 50 years, teaching the Junior Boys Sunday School Class and playing the piano and organ for the church for many years. She married Max Douthat in 1943. She was a member of the Andrew Johnson Club, Greene County Partnership, Main Street of Greeneville, Greene County Heritage Trust, Greeneville Art Council, Greene County Library, worked and supported United Way for many years, was a former member of Link Hills Country Club, and Ladies Golf Association and was always interested in and supported all civic affairs of the town. In later years, she joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Shiloh where she faithfully attended and supported.

She passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Laughlin Health Care.

She was preceded in death by her husbands: Max Douthat and Billy Williams; 2 brothers: Ralph & Claude Gaby; 2 brothers-in-law: Chuck & Billy Douthat; 4 sisters-in-law: Mary Ann, Irene Gaby, Beatrice Knipp, and Nancy Douthat.
