Jimmy Wayne “Poochie” Ellis, 65, of Nashville, AR, passed away, Thursday, May 31st, at Hospice of Texarkana in Texarkana, TX.
He was born August 10, 1952 in Plain Dealing, LA to Odell Ellis and Rosetta Webster-Ellis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Henry Ellis, Ray Ellis, & Adell Ellis, two sisters; Katherine Eason & Lizer Burton.
Survivors include; his widow; Mrs. Ruby Ellis, two daughters; Ms. Rutha Ellis and Ms. Patricia Ellis both of Nashville, AR, one son; Jonathan Ellis (Christine) of Las Vegas, NV, three sisters; Ms. Ella Mae Burton of Canfield, AR, Ms. Rosie Lee Couch of Bradley, AR, and Ms. Clote Ellis of Clarksville, AR, two brothers; Herman Ellis of Shreveport, LA and Charles Ellis of Hope, AR, eight grandchildren; Bianca June, Alexus & Davion Featherston, Beyonce, Sierra, Selena, Takiya, & Jaheim Ellis,
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 9th, at 2:00 p.m. at R.L. Reed Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia, AR, with burial to follow at the Smith Cemetery in Waldo, AR. Under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC of Magnolia, AR. Officiating will be Elder Lee Artis Burton.
