She confessed her life in Christ at an early age and united with New Hope Baptist Church in Emerson, AR. She obtained her education at Emerson High School. She was later united in holy matrimony to Billy Garland, and with this union 4 children were born. Michael, Shanika, LaQuita, and BJ.; whom she loved with all her heart. She was employed at Amfuel for over seventeen years, until she was declared disabled. She had a great passion for the outdoors, which is were she enjoyed gardening, fishing and four-wheel riding. She always greeted you with a pleasant smile and her favorite phase “Guess What?!”. She also enjoyed spending time with family, friends and devoted special time with her grandkids, whom she loved dearly. Ms. Teresa was a jolly person who enjoyed life to the fullest and loved everything about it.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Adell & Dossie Ward-Williams and sister Shirley James.
To cherish her memories she leaves; two daughters; Shanika Garland and LaQuita(Robert) Gardner, two sons; Michael Garland Sr.(Sonisha) and Billy Garland Jr (Trina), six grandchildren; Michael Garland Jr, Zi’Keus Garland, Trevion Garland ,Nyah Garland, Christian Garland, Victoria Garland, Robert Garland Jr., A very special friend Bruce Wortham, eight sisters; Rosie Manning, Mildred Porchia, Diane Ross(Paul),Linda Brock(Bobby)Sandra Hatter (Dennis),Patricia Griffin(Dwain),Lytonia Sharp(Antoine), and Pam Hill(Terry). One brother, Avance Williams (Darelene) and two aunts; Marrine Ward and Jeanette Harris. One uncle; Lee Williams. Along with a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 7th, at 11:00 a.m. at the R.L. Reed Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia, AR., with burial to follow with in the New Hope Cemetery in Emerson, AR. Under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC of Magnolia, AR. Officiating will be Rev. Chris Garland, eulogist Rev. Antoine Sharp.
Visitation Friday 12-4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
