Born April 4, 1911, in Huntsville, Utah, Mr. Mortensen lived in Vancouver since 1965. He was an owner and operator of road and heavy construction equipment for nearly 70 years. He enjoyed bowling, traveling, dancing and basketball.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mary Alice, at home; one daughter, Karen Mortensen of Vancouver; one son, Allan of Vancouver; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the Garden of Grace at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
