Angie Ruth Riley Jenkins, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. She was a native of Mt. Pisgah, LA and a resident of Hammond, LA. She was a faithful follower of Jesus who loved to study the bible, lived according to it's instruction, and was a prayer warrior for others. Angie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a great witness to her children, grandchildren, and others of how to live a life of love for God and others. She also enjoyed traveling and camping. Angie was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Angie is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Virgil L. Jenkins, Sr.; daughters, Alisa Galatas (Raymond) and Amy Kinsey (Brad); sons, Lynn Jenkins (Allison) and Lane Jenkins (Sheree); sister, Betty Alford; brothers, Jimmy Riley and Tommy Riley; grandchildren, Olivia Jenkins, Hunter, Mallory, Beau and Emily Galatas, Kaitlyn, Kerrigan, Kimberly, and Kurt Kinsey, Leighton and Nicholas Jenkins. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Joseph Riley and Doyce Alford Riley.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, Hammond, on Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 6PM until 9PM and resuming on Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 11AM until the funeral service at 1PM. Interment to follow at Talley's Chapel Cemetery, Bogalusa, LA.
