On a sunny, crisp, afternoon in January, Victor Lee, Beloved Husband and Father of three transitioned at his Norcross, Georgia home, from the illness of Cancer after a long, fought battle at the blooming age of 59.
Victor Lee was born on September 27th, 1960 to the late James Lee and Mary Alice (Coleman) Clark in New York City, NY.
Victor also known famously as “Slick Vic” in his adolescent years was spent mostly in New York City with his family where he developed the talents of modeling, playing the guitar, and as an avid collector. He enjoyed performing at the Audubon Ballroom and “The Renny,” as the lead in a break-dancing group. Victor spent his warm days in the park playing chess or with his friends in front of his hometown building in Frederick Douglass Houses. Often finding himself dominating the local basketball courts with his physical skills. After moving to Lancaster, South Carolina for a brief spell Victor returned to New York City to complete high school. Victor graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School in 1978, where he not only excelled in playing the sport of baseball, but also in his studies. For all of his hard work and accomplishments, Victor received the highest honor upon graduating and a full Rhodes Scholarship to attend any college in the entire world.
Victor decided to attend Seattle University College, where he focused his studies in majoring in Criminal Justice and with a minor in Law. In 1982, while studying at Seattle University, Victor pledged and became a part of the Fraternity Organization of Kappa Alpha Psi.
After graduating college with his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Victor rejoined his family in New York City, NY to begin a life post college. In 1987, Victor’s role developed into a father introducing his daughter Alyssa O. Lee in New York City, NY. Desiring more ambition Victor to move to thriving city of Atlanta, Georgia in March 1989 in the pursuit of happiness and new beginnings. On the Summer of 1991, Victor was given his only son, Quentin J. Lee. Victor enjoyed his role as a father, he instilled the importance of love, respect, and education to his children. The confidence in his role as a father allowed Victor to extend his family in 1996, boring daughter Aliyah N. Copeland.
During his lifetime journey Victor endeavored many different illustrious careers from Manager of Hotel Security to Supervisor with Scholastics Inc. His most recent role was at Best Supply as a Logistics Transporter.
In his later life, Victor met and found love with Kimeo F. (Kent) Lee. Together in 2017, they joined into a blissful marriage with the hopes of being with each other until their eternal days. In this union Victor was granted the opportunity of being a step-father to Porcha Kent and Branden Kent. Though their union was shortened Victor and Kimeo shared various intimate moments together traveling and spending time in each other’s happiness. On Sunday, January 19th, 2020, The man, The myth, The legend; Victor Lee, while surrounded by his most valued family members answered his call home.
Victor is preceded in death by siblings; Tony R. Clark and Frederick D. Lee.
He is survived by, widow Kimeo F. (Kent)Lee, two brothers; Edward D. Lee, James Israel, one sister; Samantha Clark, one son, Quentin J. Lee, two daughters; Alyssa O. Lee, Aliyah N. Copeland, step-children; Porcha Kent, Branden Kent Sr., five grandchildren; Quore J. Lee, Jason Q. Lee, Taryn A. Wiggs, Kimora Nurse, Branden Kent Jr., nieces and nephews; Edward Hart, Tovonia Clark, Brandi Robinson, James Israel Jr., Taylor M. Lee, Jordan Israel. He also leaves behind a slew of nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and friends to treasure many fond memories.
