Ruby Jean Robinson, 69, left this world to join our Lord on Tuesday, January 21, 2020.

She was born in Hagerman, New Mexico, on September 12, 1950, to Mabel and Leon Williams.

There will be a viewing for Ruby on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Ruby was a beloved daughter, sister, friend, mother, and wife, who loved animals, dancing, and listening to music. One of her most favorite hobbies was fishing, and she even once caught a 25-pound fish. During Ruby’s childhood, she was known for being nurturing and would often fiercely protect and care for her younger sisters. As she grew into an adult, she met and married Ernest Robinson, and together, they became the parents of Lisa Morrow, who made them the proud grandparents of Antonio, Treasure, Princess, Christopher, and Charles. Ruby spent decades working as a nurse, cook, and at one point even owned and operated a restaurant. This resilience and strong will would carry on into her later life and stayed with her until the very end.

Though Ruby’s family and friends will miss her dearly, they find comfort in knowing that she is now with her daughters: Denise Williams and Lisa Robinson; parents, Mabel and Leon Williams; sister, Pauline Finch, and uncle, Nelson Pittman, who all preceded her in death.

Left with memories of Ruby's strength and beauty are her surviving sisters: Jennie Sandles, Norma Chambers and Leona Williams; husband, Ernest Robinson; aunts: Doris and Dorthy Robinson; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruby’s tribute was lovingly written in her honor by her family.
