Obie was born in Independence County to Grover and Snoda Johnson Martin on Monday, March 17, 1924. Obie served in The United States Army. During his time of service, he took part in World War II and the Korean War.
Obie is proceeded in death by his parents; an adoptive mother, Mary Ellen Martin Presser; his first wife, Pearl Martin; his second wife, Bobbie Reynolds Martin; 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
Obie is survived by; Step Daughter, Sharon K. Reynolds; 2 adopted brothers, James and Melvin Presser; Several Nieces, Nephews, extended family members and friends.
Pallbearers are Rodney Lindsey, Tyler Lindsey, Jamie Elliott, Billy Snow, Kirk Miller, and Mac Roach. Honorary pallbearers will be James Presser and Melvin Presser.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Roller-Crouch McGee Funeral Home in Cave City.
Funeral services will be held at First Assembly of God on Main St. in Cave City at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. Burial to follow at Cave City Cemetery with Reverend Bobby Sanders officiating.
