Rebecca Conner was born May 3, 1931 in Poplar Grove, Arkansas to Arther and Alberta Jones. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at the Saint Peter Missionary Baptist Church in Lake Ridge, Arkansas. Rebecca was a beautiful woman with a lovely spirit. She loved to cook, bring the family together and bring smiles to people's faces. Her parents, Arther and Alberta Jones, a sister, Laura Jones and four brothers, Frank Jones, Heber Jones, Nora Jones and Arther Jones, Jr., and her husband Elijah Belcher, preceded her in death. Rebecca died Saturday, April 4, 2009 in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas. She leaves to cherish her memory, four daughters, Marilyn Belcher Langston and Geraldine Belcher of Helena, AR, Lorean Belcher Mitchell of Columbus, OH, and Gail Belcher of Little Rock, AR; two sons, Cleophus Belcher of Brickeys, AR, Cornell Jones of Saginaw, MI; grandchildren, Lashaunna Langston of Helena- West Helena, AR, Corey Langston of Greenwood, MS, and Brandon Langston of Helena- West Helena, AR, Vondell (Lisa) Simpson, Brandi Bryant and Chandria Cole of Columbus, OH, Benne Lee Jones, Jr. of Little Rock, AR, Monique Belcher of Helena-West Helena, AR, Folanda Kemp of Memphis, TN, Latoya Alexander of Little Rock, AR, and Quincey Jones of Michigan; sisters, Eva (Jerry) Mayfield, Carrie Lee and Elizabeth Jones, all of Helena-West Helena, AR; one brother, Willie Jones, Jr. of Poplar Grove, AR, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
