Charles Wayne "Charlie" Watts, age 78, of 803 Frazier Hill Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Thursday, January 23, 2020 on Frazier Hill Road.
Charlie was born September 13, 1941 in Bath County, Virginia to the late Everette Watts and Agnes Virginia Montgomery Watts Nicely. He was retired from the coating department of Hercules, Inc.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Baker.
He is survived by his wife Sherry Gaye Webb Watts of Clifton Forge; three daughters, Machelle Dressler and husband Allen of Covington, Tammy Persinger and husband Mike of Buena Vista, and Kim Mullins and husband Anthony of Callaghan; two sisters, Nancy Loan and husband Earl and Millie Clark and husband Harry, both of Clifton Forge; five grandchildren, Kenny Farren, Corey Persinger, Koedi Anglin, Chloe Persinger, and Josh Anglin; a great grandson, Ian Persinger; a number of nieces and nephews; and his friends from the Breakfast Club at East Coast, including special friend, Timmy Unroe.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1:00 PM in Sharon Baptist Cemetery, Clifton Forge with Reverend Grover Nicely officiating. Interment will immediately follow. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall of Sharon Baptist Church.
