Clark, Dena Lynne, 67, of Palm Harbor passed away after a brief illness on January 21, 2020. Virtually a lifelong Pinellas County resident, Dena graduated Clearwater High School, Class of 1970 and also attended St. Petersburg Junior College. She spent a number of years working for her father at Emmett's Communications Services. Dena was loved for and will be remembered for her big heart, her great sense of humor, and her many interests. A proudly self-proclaimed "cat lady", she had many feline furbabies over the years and chose a paw print as her first and only tattoo (or "CATtoo", as she called it). She loved all animals and spent much of her time volunteering at the Big Cat Rescue in Tampa and spreading awareness for the ill-treatment of show animals. Dena was also known for her love of boating and beaches. For a brief time, she lived aboard a boat in St. Thomas, USVI and truly enjoyed island life. Her abundance of compassion and caring made Dena a loyal friend to many, always offering to lend a hand whenever needed. Dena was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Marilyn Hough; brother, Eason Hough; step-daughter, Kelly Clark; and her nephew, Wesley Fields. Survivors include her sister, Kim Fields; brother, Steve Hough and wife Sherry; sister-in-law, Holly Ackoury; nephew, Spencer Fields; nieces, Brittany Hall, Sara Hough, Dana Hough, and Bethany Hough; and her furry companions, Molly, Whiskers, and Iggy. A Celebration of Life will be planned and announced on this page in the coming weeks
