Fredrick "Rick" James, 55, Watson, Illinois passed away peacefully May 11, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. He was born July 26, 163, Effingham, Illinois, the son of Lee Eugene "Bud" James. Jr and Doris Imogene Culver James.
He graduated from Effingham High School in 1982. He worked in the concrete business. He then worked many years for a wonderful friend, Jerry Jansen.
Rick was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, deer hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He will greatly miss by all who know him.
He is survived by his mother, Doris Imogene James, Effingham, Illinois; step-mother Elsie James, Watson, Illinois; brothers, Richard (Angela) James, Effingham,
Illinois; and Robert (Brenda) James, Watson, Illinois; sisters, Janie Phillips and Jeanie James, both of Effingham, Illinois; step sister, Velvet (Bart) Kaiser, Edgewood, Illinois; several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Eugene "Bud" James; grandparents, cousin, Andy Culver, and niece, Shannon James.
