Larry R. Crouch, 78, of Bloomington Indiana, son of Wilbur and Anna Sailor Crouch, passed away at Stonecroft Health Campus, surrounded by his loving family. Larry attended Bloomington High School and went on to work at Master’s Welding, before going to work at Otis Elevator. While Larry was working for Otis, they sent him to trade school to become an electrician. He continued to work for Otis Elevator for several years. Later Larry went to work for Central Foundry in Bedford, where he stayed until he retired. Larry had a natural talent for fixing things and working with his hands. He loved to fly kites, ultra-lights, and hang gliders, some of which he built himself. He had a passion for adventure, and a love for the outdoors. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting, especially when he was able to do it with his family, which was the most important thing in his life, particularly his great- grandchildren who used to sleep with him in his recliner. Larry’s love, kindness, and adventurous spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed. Larry was predeceased by his parents; brother, Bill Crouch, sister, Mary Ann Goss; great-grandson, Dalton Minnick; and stepbrother, Bernie. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Freeda Jane (Johnson) Crouch; children, Larry Crouch Jr. (Star Speas), Carla Robertson (Bill Speas), Jana Smith (Stan); sisters, Joann Hayes, Mildred Carter (Bob); step brother, Marvin Wilkerson (Loretta); grandchildren, Daniel Robertson (Trudi), Sara Cummins (Josh), Dena Robertson, Mitch Smith (Stefanie), Kim Smith; 23 great -grandchildren.
