Jackie L. Fisher, 82, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away January 22, 2020 at Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri.
He was born September 18, 1937 in Mount Vernon to the late Alonzo "Lon" and Sylvia (Lovin) Fisher.
Jackie married Betty Crawford on July 1, 1967 in Jefferson County, Illinois. They were blessed with 39 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on October 28, 2006.

Jackie is survived by his son, B. Fisher of Mount Vernon, Illinois; sister, J. Fisher of Granite City, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Jackie was preceded in death by his son, Brian Dale Fisher; and thirteen siblings.

Jackie proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked for the Mount Vernon Stove Foundry and then later in life worked as coal miner. Jackie was a faithful member of Logan Street Baptist Church. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

There will be no public services at this time.
