Joanne K. Lee, 56, of Whiting died Sunday, June 26, 2011 after a long illness in Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Oak Ridge where she attended Jefferson High School before moving to Ocean County. Joanne loved gardening, animals and the beach even though she was afraid of the water. Her favorite place to vacation was Puerto Rico.
She was predeceased by her father, Joseph Fasciano, Jr. in 2009 and her brother, Joseph Fasciano III in 1986. Surviving are her loving husband of 13 years, David E. Lee; her beloved son, Russell Zeigler and his companion Crystal, both of Toms River; her mother, Diana Fasciano of Manchester; and her sister and brother-in-law, Linda and George Elgar also of Manchester.
A memorial gathering will be held Fri., July 1 from 1 to 3 pm at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester. A memorial service will be held Fri., 1:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital for liver research at the Jefferson Foundation, 925 Chestnut St., suite 110, Philadelphia, PA 19107.
