Michael James Ratliff, 61, of McKinney, TX passed away, Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Baylor T. Boone Pickens Cancer Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was born on April 9, 1958 in Topeka, KS to Jim and Dorothy Ratliff. Michael graduated from Ogallala High School in 1976 and the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 1981. On August 21, 1981, he married Kelly Elizabeth Johnson at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Alliance, Nebraska. Mike worked in management and sales in the transportation and financial planning industries before dedicating his life to his wife and children. He spent many years supporting youth sports in Colorado as a volunteer coach, board member, and mentor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman dedicated to wildlife conservation.

Mike is survived by his wife, Kelly of McKinney, Texas; son, Sean of Grandview, Texas; daughters, Abby and Katie of Frisco, Texas; parents, Jim and Dorothy Ratliff of Ogallala, Nebraska; sisters, Kelly Ratliff and wife, Trish Becher of Louisburg, Kansas, Kim Porter and husband, Kelly of Broomfield, Colorado, Jacque McNair and husband, Jason of Broomfield, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews, in-laws, aunts and uncles, cousins and extended family and loving friends.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 26, 2019 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 312 West 3rd Street, Ogallala, Nebraska
