Charles A. Pitman 83, of Greenbrier, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at his home. He was lovingly known as Charlie or “Pit” by family and friends. He was born August 10, 1935, in Ash Grove, MO. He was married to his best friend, Sandy, June 1, 1980. Charlie was a member of Greenbrier Nazarene Church. He dedicated a lifetime of service to various aspects of the grocery business until his retirement at age 76. Charlie was a family man, he loved his family, church family and friends selflessly. He loved sports and watching those he loved, play sports. He spent many years cheering on his sons and later his grandkids, the Arkansas Razorbacks and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Pitman of Greenbrier; his son, Jake Pitman and his wife Misty Pitman. His grandchildren, Kayden Pitman, Skylar Pitman, Chloe Pitman, Austin Harp, Zachary Harp and Jace Harp of Conway, AR along with beloved brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Verlon and Alphie Pitman and his son, Jeff Pitman.

Visitation will be at Greenbrier Nazarene Church from 2:00-3:00 pm Saturday May 4, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Greenbrier Nazarene Church, with Jim Sanders and Steve Thrasher officiating.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are will be Jack Duvall, Loy Bittle, Charles Freeman, Frankie Lybarger, Cliff Ferguson, Ed Lybarger, Herman Wilson, Joe Lloyd, Jay Bittle, Lucas Duvall, Kayden Pitman, Austin Harp, Zac Harp and Jace Harp.
