Ryan Lee Squires, age 48, of Sparland, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at his home.
Ryan was born on September 14, 1971 in Quincy, IL to Ronald Lee Squires, Sr. and Carolyn J. (Wheeler) Karman.
Surviving are his father, Ronald; his siblings, Ronnie (Amber) Squires of Sparland, IL, Kendra Karman of Brooklyn, NY, Mandy (Kenny) Mellon of Barry, IL and Lyndsay (David) Smith also of Barry, IL; and a large extended family.
He is also survived by his dogs, whom he loved more than anything, Sequoia and Brin. Ryan was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn and his twin brother, Russell.
Ryan worked for Galena Gravel for 18 years and then starting roofing, owning his own business, Squires Construction. Ryan enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was rock climbing, kayaking, or hiking the trails with his dogs. Ryan also owned Squires Mud Bogs in Sparland and he loved his Mud Bog family.
Services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 1pm at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
Visitation will also be held Tuesday from 11am to 1pm at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Chillicothe City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the A.R.K. in Lacon or to the American Diabetes Association.
