Richard Garland Quaid, age 70, a longtime Kiowa resident. He was born on October 10, 1949, to Jack and Christine (Bailey) Quaid, at Denison, TX. Richard passed away on January 21, 2020 at Oklahoma City, OK. He attended & graduated from Kiowa Schools in 1968, he continued his education with going to OSU getting an associate’s degree in Petroleum Radiology. He attended ECU graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Math Education. Richard attended the University of Tulsa graduating with a Master’s Degree in school administration. Richard was a retired educator, administrator & rancher. Richard married Betty Gene Olshovsky on Dec. 19, 2018 in Atoka, OK. He was a member of the Harper Valley Baptist Church, a member of the Elks Lodge, a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He joyed hunting, fishing, gardening, going to basketball games, cooking. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
