Kirk is survived by his mother, Billie Jean (Renner) and stepfather, Butch Mowry; “older sister” Vickie (Miller) and husband, John Wright; “younger sister” Gail (Miller) and husband, Neal Clute; and his uncle, Bob Renner. Kirk was fond of his four nieces; Stacy Carey, Lori Karst, Jessica Schroeder, and Kara Shively. He was excited to have future ball players in his six grand-nephews. Kirk leaves behind his significant other, Jan Underwood; and his beloved dog, O.D.O., who was always at his side.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Kirk’s many close friends, especially Lance, Billy, Dickie, Toby and fellow Knights of Columbus Members for assisting us with his arrangements.
Service: There will be a celebration of Kirk’s life on Saturday, January 25th, at the Knights of Columbus Hall of Shawnee, Kansas. A rosary will be held at 3:00, followed by a reception/dinner for Kirk’s friends and family. In honor of celebrating Kirk’s favorite NFL team going to the Super Bowl, please wear Chiefs RED! We look forward to sharing memories and stories of Kirk.
