Mr. McCoy passed away on January 22, 2020 in Chandler.
David Elvis McCoy Sr. was born January 13, 1945 in Forney, Texas the son of Edmond Maicon McCoy and Cora Bess Smith McCoy. David was born and raised in Forney, Tx, where he met and married Sandra Harrison on November 24, 1962. He lived there until 1980, when he and his family moved to Chandler. David loved his family with all of his being and they knew it. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved his time at the deer lease with his family and close friends. He also enjoyed his trips to the casino. As soon as he married, his father in law trained him in the field of construction/painting and he knew the business well. He and his wife worked together while driving the road for approximately a year. He worked the last for 8 years for his nephew, Danny Jr., helping him grow his painting business. David was a man of many talents and very loved. His family and close friends will miss him more than he could ever know.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife Sandra McCoy; four children, David McCoy Jr., James McCoy, Paul McCoy, Keylie McCoy; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Johnson, Danny Page, David Smith, Charles Smith, Jimmy Smith and John White.
