Winford "Wince" Yates, 85 of Honaker, died Sunday at the Good Samaritan Hospital, in Lexington, Kentucky following a long illness
Born March 15, 1900 at Honaker, he was the son of the late Squire and Duzilla Harvey Yates. Hr was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Lawson Yates, in 1970.
He is survived by his wife, Zeola Lawson Yates, five sons, Okie, Wesley, and Kermit, all of Honaker, Corbett Yates of New London, Ohio, and Denver Yates of Weeksbury. Three daughters, Margie Yates Kidd, Pina Yates Williams, and Jacqueline Yates Hill all of Honaker. One sister, Nannie Bell Yates Rhoton,of Huntington, West Virginia. 44 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren.
