GARRISON. Anita E. Garrison, 68, of Dartmouth Village, Columbia, died Friday (May 22) at home. She was born Sept. 12, 1918, in Narragansett Pier, R.I., daughter of the late Louis and Emily (Briggs) Potter, and had resided in Columbia since 1939. She was employed for many years as a cashier at the First National Store in Willimantic. She was the widow of Marcus L. Garrison, who died in 1981. She is survived by two daughters, Ann Bailey of Mansfield and Virginia Frost of Vernon; a brother, Alan Potter of New Bedford, Mass.; a sister, Eleanor Cox of Willimantic; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; three nephews and a niece. Funeral service will be Tuesday, 11 am.m., at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic. Burial will follow in the New Willimantic Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, one-half hour prior to the service.
