William Anthony Geiger was born on May 22, 1938 to George and Adaline (Martin) Geiger at a homestead west of Longdale, Oklahoma where currently Canton Lake is located. He departed this life at his residence on Friday, January 17, 2020.
Bill grew up at Longdale and graduated with the class of 1957 at Longdale High School. He married the former Beth Burlison the day after her 19th birthday on December 20, 1962 at Canton, Oklahoma.
Bill served his country in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany. He worked at Tinker Air Force Base at Midwest City, Oklahoma and retired there after 30 years of service as a welder. After retiring at Tinker, Bill and Beth moved back to Longdale and raised cattle and farmed. He was a board member and lifetime member of the Longdale Community Church.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, George and Adaline Geiger; three brothers, George, Ronald and Larry Geiger. Survivors include his wife Beth, of the home; three children, daughters Shari Sikes of Edmond, Oklahoma and Shelly Geiger of Edmond, Oklahoma and son William Geiger and wife Jacqueline of Piedmont, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Jeffery Sikes and wife Ariana, Ethan Sikes, Will Geiger and Autumn Geiger.
