Lucille Dolores Andreasen-White (nee Hitchcock) of St. George, Utah died January 17, 2020 at the age of 93. Born in Hazelton, Idaho on August 16, 1927 to Hastings Goodhue Hitchcock and Florence Eva Weeks she was the third of six children including Helen, James, Juanita, Charles and Bob. She grew up in Southern Idaho in Jerome and in Shoshone near the Ice Caves, lived briefly in Southgate, California during the war years, and graduated from high school in 1944. She was married to Joseph Andreasen of Shoshone, Idaho in 1946 and gave birth to a daughter Christina Marie in 1946 and to a son Andrew John in 1947. She raised her children in Salt Lake City and later in Elko, Nevada and Denver, Colorado all the while working full time as a waitress to help support the family.

After the children were grown, she went to college at Weber State and Chico State eventually obtaining her Bachelor’s degree and teaching credential. She had a second career teaching elementary school until she retired in 1985 to Boise, Idaho. She was married to Joe Andreasen for 40 years and then spent 25 very happy years with her second love Ronald “Buzz” White until he passed in 2009.

She the last survivor among her five siblings. She is survived by her daughter Christina Morris, her son Andrew Andreasen and her 9 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday January 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Pine View Mortuary 566 North Mall Drive, St George, Utah, 84790. A viewing will be held prior to the services at 1:00 p.m. at Pine View Mortuary,
