Marie was born on January 30, 1960 in Olney, IL, the daughter of Juanita Brassie.
She later married Richard Shipman and he survives.
Marie liked to collect carousel horses and raise Yorkshire Terriers. She loved her family and bringing joy to their lives.
Marie is survived by her husband, Richard Shipman; son, Derek Grant; grandson, Alex Grant; mother; Juanita Brassie; and sister, Vickie Bell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney, with a visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
