Betty Helen (Cockrum) McFadden, 91, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Private graveside services will be held at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park, Texas. Betty will be available for viewing from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park. Betty was born November 1, 1928 in Lamar County, Texas to Estle “E.C.” and Estelle (Womack) Cockrum. She married the love of her life, Maxie McFadden, on May 31, 1947 in Paris, Texas and they had been married for 70 years when he preceded her in death. Betty was a homemaker who lived a clean, simple life. She loved dearly and was very strong and independent. Betty is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, James Cockrum; and sister, Ruby Gooding. Surviving relatives include her daughter, Vickie McFadden and her partner, Roxann Preston of Wichita Falls; nieces, Ina Mitschke, Cheryl Taylor, Julie Dozier, Linda Baker and Brenda Malone; nephew, Jim Cockrum; and numerous extended family. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.
