Joseph Dickinson died unexpectedly at the age of 88. Joseph is survived by his son, Joey and his grandson, Samuel. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eleanor, and his five brothers.

Joseph was born on June 27, 1931 in Oakland, California, to Harvey and Susanne Dickinson. He graduated from Livermore High School, and he joined the Navy in July 1951. Joseph fought in the Korean War aboard the U.S.S. Catamount. He completed his eight years of service, then returned home to Pleasanton and went to work for Pacific Bell.

Joseph met and married Eleanor Mari Ani in 1961. They were together until her passing in May 2015. They spent most of their lives in Livermore, retiring to Folsom, California.

The funeral is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on January 17, 2020 at Calvary Cemetery, Citrus Heights, California, where they will both be laid to rest together.
Mortuary services are under the direction of Calvary Cemetery and Funeral Center.
