He is survived by his parents, Jay and Marita (nee Lipka) Albrecht of Naperville, two siblings, Magdalene Louise Albrecht of Houston, TX and John Chandler Albrecht of Naperville, his paternal grandmother, Bonny Albrecht of Naperville and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
James grew up in Naperville, attended Prairie Elementary School, Washington Junior High School and graduated in 2004 from Naperville North High School, where he was a member of the Math Team, WYSE and JETS. He was entering his senior year at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge (MIT) where he was double majoring in math and physics, with a minor in economics. James served as president of Baker House and was recently accepted into the MIT graduate program in computation for design and optimization. James was in New York City for the summer working as an intern at D.E. Shaw & Co., a financial investment and scientific research firm. James was a lifelong member of SS. Peter & Paul Church in Naperville.
A memorial mass will be celebrated Friday, July 27, 11:00 A.M. at SS. Peter & Paul Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville. A luncheon will follow in the SS. Peter & Paul Ministry Center.
Interment: Private.
