Funeral services for Lou Alice Lott Smith of Grenada, formerly of Winona, will be Wednesday, January 22 at 10:30 a.m. in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Sam Dodd will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Ryan Smith, Hays Odum, Bryan Lott, David Butler, and John Butler.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 22 from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Oliver Funeral Home.
Lou Alice Lott Smith, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 20, 2020 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada. She was born in Duck HIll on August 10, 1932 to Dell L. and Jennie Lou Johnson Lott.
She loved her time at Grace Health and Rehab in Grenada, where she was affectionately known by everyone as "Ms. Lou". She loved her family, reading, especially her bible, and was a great mother, grandmother, and friend.
Before her time at Grace, she was a homemaker and an active member of Southside Baptist Church in Winona.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Kathy Woods Bohannon (Gary) of Marshall, AR; son, James "Bubba" Smith (Judy H.) of Winona; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Clyde Smith; her parents; son, Norman Eugene Bennett; step-daughter, Judy Smith Echols; three brothers; and three sisters.
Memorial contributions can be made to Southside Baptist Church in Winona.
