Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Mr. Hancock passed away at his home in Whigham, GA, on Saturday, January 18, 2020.

On August 9, 1954, he married Gwendolyn Jones Hancock, who preceded him in death on February 18, 2016. He was a long-time law enforcement employee. Wallace was employed with Leon County Sheriff’s Department for 27 years and more recently with Plantation Security until his retirement. He was a member of the Whigham Baptist Church.
Survivors include: son, Kevin Hancock (Faye) of Whigham, GA; daughter, Amy Gordon (Bill) of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Christy Winston (John) of Columbia, MO, Blake Hancock (Jessica) of Hartwell, GA, Chad Gordon (Megan) of Whigham, GA; great-grandchildren, Marshall Winston, Elijah Winston, Emma Winston, all of Columbia, MO, Georgia Hancock of Hartwell, GA; sisters, Gail Ulmer of Whigham, GA, Sue Collins of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
