Cynthia C. Boyer, 87, of Scottsdale, Arizona, formerly of Marco Island, Florida and Mendham, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. Born August 25, 1932 in Newark NJ, she was the daughter of the late George M. Cooper and the late Hilda (Davidson) Cooper.
She was the wife of the late Howard A. Boyer who passed away in 1997. Cynthia graduated from Centenary Junior College in 1952 and the Katherine Gibbs School in 1953. She was last employed as a secretary for Sandoz Pharmaceuticals in East Hanover, NJ. She then retired to Florida and proudly served in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary for 20 years, acting as Flotilla Commander in 1996.
She is survived by her daughter Beth, wife of Robert Skoff, of Scottsdale, AZ, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was predeceased by her son, Stephen Mildrum, in 2013.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will follow in Towamensing Cemetery, Palmerton, PA.
