In later years, Connie decided to go back to school to obtain her higher education. She graduated from Dallas Baptist University obtaining her Bachelor of Arts. Connie continued her educational journey and attended Amberton University obtaining her MA and her certificate of Counseling. She was employed with AT & T almost 15 years before becoming an educator and then a school counselor with Dallas ISD, Connie was also very active in her community neighborhood watch in Cedar Hill, Texas.
Connie was always the glue that brought people together. Her ability to make people feel special was the gift she gave no matter what arena she was in. Whether it was her AT&T Employees Family, her WOW Family, her Rockford and Chicago long time friends, her Vaughn or Falls Family, Talley Family, or her closely knitted Concord Family, Connie always had time to be that special person that reminded us that the circle truly will never be unbroken. Her love was that glue.
Connie was preceded in death by her father, William Prince Vaughn Sr. and her mother, Corine Leatha Hardin Vaughn; both her paternal and maternal grandparents; a baby sister who died as an infant; her uncle Edward Vaughn whom she cared for while living in Chicago; as well as several great aunts and great uncles across the country.
Connie leaves to continue her legacy of love--her brother, William Prince Vaughn Jr. (Audry Vaughn); her sisters, Wanda Vaughn, Karen and Nancy Vaughn; her step mother, Rachel Vaughn; nephews: William Prince Vaughn III, Michael Vaughn, Anthony Falls II, Kevin Eliott, her nieces: Shatarra Falls, Tia Falls, Lisa Elliott; brother in law: Anthony Falls Sr; great aunt: Dorothy Talley Autry-Hendrix; great nieces: Yazmine, Celeste, Nia, Great Nephews: Marcus and Datarian; great great niece: Kamiyah and a great great nephew: Julius. She also leaves her precious god children: Paula Bearden, Kameron Goffney, Danielle Terry and Briana Price along with a host of Vaughn, Lawson, and Talley cousins and wonderful loving friends.
