***Some people claim that Henry was born around 1740. But since his parents sailed to America in 1740, it is believed that Henry was actually born around 1741, shortly after his parents arrived in America.

The DAR has confirmed that Henry Back (1740-1809) was on a list of soldiers, in "The Robinson River Valley," during the Revolutionary War, and so he is considered to be a "Patriot," in DAR. They have also confirmed that Henry Back (1740-1809) was NOT the son of Harman Back. They have further confirmed that Henry Back (1740-1809) was NOT the father of John Back (1774-1854), who married Catherine Robertson, and he was NOT the father of Henry Back (1785-1871), who married Susannah Maggard.
