God, we praise you for giving us this wonderful woman for the years that we had her presence. There was absolutely no one more caring and giving than she. If you needed it, well…off of her back, she gave it. There was no price too enormous, no request too big because this giant of a lady filled the bill every time. There were hard times and really difficult battles that she faced, but she faced them.I believe that this last battle was just too much for her heart to endure, so she chose to accept her wings 28 April 2014. We know that God does not ever make mistakes, so we rest knowing that she is in His arms and being comforted by His love and we bid farewell to a woman of incredible strength.Jackie, as she was more affectionately called was born 3 November 1953 in Indianapolis, IN to Roscoe Johnson and Sammye Johnson-Stuart, who have both preceded her in death. She attended Abilene High School but graduated from Poly Technical High school in Fort Worth TX. She also completed Cosmetology School in 1985 and was a Master Instructor at Abilene High School’s Cosmetology Department. She was well respected for her craft and gift of bringing out the beauty in all of her clients and students. She leaves to cherish her memory three beautiful children: Tasha Clinette Williams (Ollis, Jr.), Clennis Wayne Neal (Jennifer), and Patience Chanel Williams (Justin); seven grandchildren: Ollis, III, Camon, E’vianna, Christopher, Tison, Antoine, and Madison; two sisters: Denise Byrd and Cherilyn Kim Wells (Larry) and one brother: Kenneth Johnson. Another brother, Richard Charles preceded her in death. One aunt: Ms. Ella Mae Carroll and a host of other cousins, nephews, and nieces.Jackie was no stranger to anyone and all of her friends will miss her terribly.Funeral Services directed by Dove Funeral Home will be held 7 May 2014 at Macedonia Baptist Church, 608 N. Seventh Street, Abilene TX 79601 at 11:00 am where Pastor Matthew Lubin, Sr. is the Pastor and officiate and Pastor Robert Brooks will deliver the eulogy.
