Linda Lou Harmon, age 77, of Poplar Plains Road, Flemingsburg, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at her home.

Born December 11, 1942, at East Fork in Bath County, she was a daughter of the late Claude Bailey and Opal Howard Black Bailey.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Rev. Billy Harmon, whom she wed November 16, 1960; two sons, Jeff Harmon and wife Tabatha of Muses Mill and Mike Harmon and wife Gaye of Owingsville; six grandchildren, Aaron Harmon, Andrew Harmon, Elizabeth Harmon Watkins and husband Kyle, Hannah Harmon, Justin Conley and wife Christa, and Blake Conley; one great granddaughter, Kyleigh Harmon; and one great grandson, Brax Conley.

Other survivors include two sisters, Lorena Buckler and Toni Hunt, both of Owingsville; several nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Linda was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother who shared daily her examples of Christian living. Pleasing God and her most precious belongings—Billy, Jeff, and Mike—brought her contentment and fulfillment. She loved making her house a home where the family could enjoy a home-cooked meal upon returning from work or school and enjoy each other’s company.

This loving care and attention extended to her grandchildren, whom she adored. She eagerly babysat for each one during preschool years and followed all school activities, rarely missing an event, until high school graduation. Linda also loved and received great joy from Kyleigh, her great granddaughter.

A lifelong Christian, Linda has supported her husband’s ministry for the last 52 years at East Fork Church of God. She loved her church family, worried about all of them, and prayed for them daily. A gospel singer for many years, Linda was a favorite icon in the church’s Annual Christmas Play and Live Nativity as she sang solo “Oh Holy Night.”

Linda encouraged everyone she met to make sure they have clean hands and a pure heart and to meet her in heaven someday. Psalm 24:4
