Former Greenville resident Lucille Click Sheppeard of Fort Worth died Wednesday in Beaumont. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitch Skelton officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.

She was born on Sept. 22, 1906, in Plano to Matthew S. and Lucy Pierce Click. She married Gabe Sheppeard on Jan. 17, 1937, in Greenville. She was a graduate of Greenville Business College and for 13 years was secretary to B.R. Brown at Citizens National Bank. She also served 15 years as secretary for the Soil Conservation Service. She was a member of University Christian Church of Fort Worth where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Womens Club and Golden Years Club in Fort Worth, the Eastern Star in Galveston and was a dorm mother at Texas Christian University.

Survivors are two daughters, Nancy S. Atkinson of Breham and Dr. Sallye S. Sheppeard of Beaumont; two sisters, Mrs. Velma Fox of Marshall, Ark., and Mrs. John Isham of Campbell, and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1948, one brother and three sisters.

Pallbearers will be Dr. James Atkinson, Philip Adkinson, Dr. Otto C. Walling, Charles Walling, Johnny Isham and Charlie Ray Isham.
