Joseph Virgil “Jimbo” Dean III 53, of Conover went to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family on January 17, 2020 due to health issues.

Born on May 2, 1966, In Welch, WV, he was the son of the late Joseph “Jimmie” and Delpha Dean. Jimbo was known for his big heart and his love of helping people.

He loved working on anything that had a motor, music, and most of all he loved his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia “Tweety Bird” Dean.

Survivors include his sisters, Wanda Griffin and husband Todd of Kannapolis, Joyce Spangler and husband Brad of New Lexington, OH, Nancy Johnson and husband Darryl of Taylorsville, Margaret Jarrells and husband Rob of Rocky Mount, VA; numerous nieces and nephews and other family members; his beloved kitten, Star aka Monkey.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2020 at 2 PM at Catawba Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after the service.
