Larry Charles Gordon

It is with great sadness that the family of Larry Charles Gordon, 64, announces his passing on January 17, 2020. Larry was a long time resident of Franklin. He was born November 17, 1955 in Lima, Ohio to Charles “Bud” Duffy Gordon and Erma Charlotte (Jones) Gordon.

Larry married Ann Marie Wiersig on May 1, 1982. She lovingly survives. He is lovingly remembered and cherished by his children Benjamin Charles Gordon and Kathryn Marie Gordon; brothers, Greg and Farley; and sister, Anne. He is preceded in passing by his parents, Bud and Erma.

Larry graduated from Anderson High School in 1974. He also graduated from IUPUI with an Associate’s Degree.

Larry was a hardworking business owner for 38 years. He created custom ornamental wrought iron artistic designs through his two businesses, G&N Fabrications and Gordon Artistic Ironworks.

He enjoyed traveling, especially the scenic landscapes of the Western United States. He had a passion for cooking, sports, and a love for fishing. Larry collected many pieces of art. He was a dog lover and a proud owner of several Dachshunds and one Gordon Setter.

Above all things, Larry was the best and most loving father, wonderful friend, and husband.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton Street in Franklin. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Johnson County Humane Society, 3827 N. Graham Road Franklin, Indiana 46131.
