Eva Mae ‘Gamma’ Tomlinson White, 77, a lifelong resident of Hardee County passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Good Shepherd Hospice Sebring. She was born in Wauchula, Florida on April 24, 1942. Eva was Baptist by faith and a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was a nurse for 17 years at Palmetto Clinic and a former manager at Rest Haven. Gamma was a devoted and faithful Hardee Wildcat fan. In 2017 she received the Russell “Rut” Baker Award from the Hardee Athletic Foundation.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry and Tressie Tomlinson, and her sister, Vivian Tomlinson.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Smith of Wauchula, Fl; brother Maurice Tomlinson (Velma) of Wauchula, Fl; nephew, Tim Tomlinson, niece, Tammy Tomlinson, grandchildren Emory William Smith, Vivian Lee Smith and Christina Michelle Smith, As well as Climmie Batts and the late Gene Batts, Neda Eagle Cobb, Ellie Eagle, Rosie Wendell, Stephanie Cobb Seeber (Bobby), Presley, and Blake, Valerie Cobb (Josh) and Braxton.

A funeral will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 10:30 am at Northside Baptist Church. Reverend Mitch Landress will be officiating. Interment will be at Hart Cemetery.
