SALLE
Elizabeth Christian Salle, daughter of Mary Christian and Julian Aurelius Salle, born October 24, 1904, died June 6, 1998 at her home in Powhatan Co. She is survived by one brother, Dr. George Frederic Salle of Greenville, N.C. and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Judith Katherine Salle [correction, 2 sisters, the other one being Rosabelle Depp Salle], and three brothers, Julian Anderson, Robert Cuvier, and Llewellyn Christian Salle. Miss Salle was a retired medical technician with McGuire Hospital. She volunteered at the Virginia Home for many years and was a member of the Midlothian Garden Club, Powhatan Woman's Club, the Huguenot Society of the Founders of Manakin in the Colonial [sic] in Virginia, the Powhatan Historical Society, and the Virginia Historical Society. She was a lifelong member of Manakin Episcopal Church. Miss Salle was a 1924 graduate of Westhampton College. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Powhatan Vol. Rescue Squad or the charity of your choice. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Monday in the Manakin Episcopal Church, Powhatan. Interment church cemetery.
