Bob Taylor, 82, of Russellville, passed away, Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home.
The son of Bradford and Bennie Scott Taylor, he was born June 13, 1937 in Kilgore, TX.
He was a Professor and Head of Social Science and Philosophy Department at Arkansas Tech University. He was devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Second Baptist Church - Russellville where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He enjoyed golf, woodworking, fishing and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Bishop Taylor, his parents and a daughter-in-law, Jana Beth Taylor.
Survivors include a daughter, Joy Taylor; a son, Jeff Taylor both of Russellville; two grandchildren, Tracey Braden (Jacob) of Havana; Justin Hagan; a great grandson, Jameson Lee Hagan both of Paris and a sister, Sharon Lanell Rea of Hobbs, NM.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Monday, January 20, 2020 at Humphrey Chapel. Bro. Chris Russell and Bro. Jonathan Whitlock will officiate.
Burial will be at Center Valley Memorial Gardens in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service.
Full military honors will be provided by Rogers-Rye VFW Post 2283.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, on Sunday, at the funeral home.
