Mr. Quadrato was born Sept. 25, 1926 in Waterbury, son of the late Rafael and Catherine (Bochichio)Quadrato. He grew up and was educated in Waterbury and was an Oakville resident for more than 50 years.
He worked for Scovill Manufacturing Co. of Waterbury for 44 years, and was also an employee of Oakville Pin Shop. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific campaign. He was a member of the VFW Post 7330 of Oakville, and was also a member of Union Congregational Church of Oakville.
Besides his wife, he leaves five sons, Frank W. Quadrato of Bethlehem and David H. Quadrato, Gary R. Quadrato, Louis J. Quadrato and Steven R. Quadrato of Oakville; a stepson, Gregory R. Shaw of Oakville; two brothers, Joseph Quadrato and James Quadrato of Waterbury; two sisters, Angie Castertano of Woodbury and Mary Morin of Naugatuck; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A son, Glen Quadrato, and a stepdaughter, Leslee Susan Shaw, are deceased.
Arrangements: Funeral 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Union Congregational Church, 161 Buckingham St., Oakville. Burial with full military honors in Evergreen Cemetery, North Street, Watertown. Calling hours 5 to 8 p.m. today at O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St., Oakville.
