Mrs. Juanita Hampton, 94, of Hamburg, AR died Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Stonegate Villa Health and Rehabilitation in Crossett. She was a native of Minden, LA, a resident of Hamburg for 56 years, and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she taught the Women’s Sunday School class for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Hampton; one son, James Hampton; her parents, Ed and Irene Love; and a brother, Jessie Love. Mrs. Juanita was a very quiet, humble person who loved her church and her family.
She is survived by three sons, George Hampton, of Crossett, AR, Tilmon Barnes (Effie) and Jessie Hampton (Madonna), of Hamburg, AR; three daughters, Lavern Barnes, of Little Rock, AR, Dorothy Wilson (Cleveland), of Hamburg, AR, and Martha Laurie (Robert) of Lancaster, TX; daughter in law, Louise Hampton, of Watson, AR; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Funeral service will be Monday, January 20, 2020, 11 a.m., at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel, 600 E. St. Louis Hamburg, AR. Pallbearers are Jessie Hampton, Jr., Derrick Haynes, Nicholas Wilson, Jaylen Wilson, Mick Barnes, and Herve Hampton. Burial in Johnson Memorial Cemetery.
