Soren Anderson lived to be almost 100 years old. (4 month shy).
Soren was born in Denmark May 14,1801. He was 52 when he heard and accepted the gospel.
He came to Utah in 1854, crossing the Atlantic in the "Benjamin Adams". Which sailed from Liverpool England on January 22,1854. They arrived at New Orleans in March 1854. They went to Kansas City.(from West Point, Jackson county, Missouri). He crossed the Plains with the Hans Peter Olsen's company. Arrived in the Salt Lake Valley Oct,5,1954. Then went on to settle in Ephraim, Sanpete County, Utah.
Married; Hannah Nielsen 1856. (bore him 6 children)
Soren was called by the Church authorities to settle in Circle Valley.
He took an active part in the Black Hawk war during 1865-1867.
Was one of the first settlers of Sterling, Sanpete county, (lived there for 10 yrs) He Permanently settled in Centerfield in about 1885.
His long life was to some extent due to his great care of diet and leading of a pure exemplary life. Soren was a High Priest when he died. Jan.18,1901.
