Mary Elizabeth Raines, 83, of Harmans, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020. She was born on December 13, 1936 in Baltimore to the late Charles and Elizabeth Weishaar. She worked as a secretary in civil service for the U.S. Government for over 30 years. Mary loved to cook, garden, and was a fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens. Most of all Mary loved being at her home and surrounded by her family.
Mary is survived by her loving daughters, Teresa (Tom) Musick, Lynda (Richard) Layson, and her cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Justin, Jenna, and, Julie, along with her 4 great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Kyleigh, Nathan, and, Eli, and her sister, Audrey E. Slusher. She is predeceased by her sisters, Elizabeth A. Linhardt, Marie C. Talley, Florence N. Mackevicus, and her brothers, Charles G. Weishaar, Harry A. Weishaar, and, Franklin D. Weishaar.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Thursday, January 16th from 6-9 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, January 17th, at 11:30 AM, a viewing will be held prior to the service at St. Paul’s Lutheran from 11-11:30 AM at 308 Oak Manor Drive, Glen Burnie, MD. 21061. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
