Beverly Jean Smith "Bev", age 86, of Wyoming, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2020.
Bev was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; grandson, Jack Aaron Swick; and sister, Nora Hagedorn.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Eileen (Jerry) Schneider, Anita Smith, Betsy (George) VanderLaan; grandchildren, Nathan (Jessica) Schneider, Rose (Nathan) Schlappi, Rachel (Steve) Hooper, John (Christina) Koops, George VanderLaan IV; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Bev enjoyed her time as a bookkeeper but her real joy was at home taking care of her family. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, and traveling.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, 11 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Madelyn Thompson officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 10-11 am prior to the service at the funeral home. Bev has finally gone home.
